2. Numerical model

The numerical model utilized in this study is a reconstructed one from the two-dimensional numerical model developed by Nakajima (1994) to calculate convection in the Martian atmosphere. The Nakajima's original model is designed to calculate cumulus convection in the terrestrial atmosphere. The source code of the present model can be seen in Nakajika and Odaka (2000). The detailed expressions of model equations are shown in appendix A, and their finite differenced forms are shown in appendix B.
