「角運動量保存的な東西風」
地球の赤道上空で静止している空気塊がハドレー循環に乗って北緯 30°N まで移動したとする. このとき角運動量が保存されるとして, 北緯 30°N における空気塊の東西方向の風速を計算せよ. さらにこの値と北緯 30°N における地球の自転速度とを比較せよ.

A air parcel which is at rest on the equator of earth is transported to 30 N by Hadley circulation. Assuming conservation of angular momentum, estimate the zonal velocity of air parcel at 30 N. Compare the zonal velocity with those of solid earth rotation at same latitude.
